Van Boyd
Certified Pedorthist
You might recognize Van as our go-to foot guru here at Heel to Toe. Van was first introduced to the shoe industry in 1974 while working part-time at Nobles in Akron, Ohio during college. Shortly thereafter, he became the youngest manager the company had ever promoted at the ripe age of nineteen. After successfully running his first store, he hit the road to supervise stores in Indiana, Missouri, and eventually transferred to Champaign in 1980. Van joined the Heel to Toe family in 1985 after deciding independent shoe retailers were the next big thing. Van has been a certified pedorthist since 1987 and has helped thousands of customers in the greater C-U area with foot pain management.
Dan Kopolow
Certified Pedorthist
If you need a brace, Dan Kopolow is the man for the job. He first joined the Heel to Toe family in 1995 working part time while earning degrees in both English and Kinesiology from the University of Illinois. Dan then moved to Downy, California to become a certified orthotist at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. He returned to Heel to Toe in 2002 to extend our services from not just your feet, but from head to toe. Dan has been in the industry since 1999 and is certified by the American Board of Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics. From wrist braces to spinal pain management – there isn’t a brace Dan can’t handle!
Heel To Toe opened in 1976 in an 800 sq ft shoe store in Champaign, Illinois’ Market Place Mall. In 1987 we moved to our present location in downtown Urbana, Illinois.
