Heel to Toe shoe store opened in 1976 at Champaign’s Market Place Mall as an Earth Shoe store. Shortly thereafter, we grew into a multibrand—among them Finn Comfort, Keen, SAS, Clark, Dansko, and Chaco--comfort shoe store that specializes in prescription footwear.  In 1987 we moved to downtown Urbana and expanded our floor space by two more stores as well as our pedorthic practice. In 1995 we opened the Birkenstock Concepts store next door to our original location.  Then, seven years later, we opened New Balance CU on the other side of our original location.

Today, with three certified pedorthists, an orthotist, and an experienced sales staff, we are well equipped to handle any of your footwear needs. Whether those needs are finding a good running shoe, dress shoe, or diabetic shoe; or if your needs are more specialized we can help. We cast for and fabricate braces and orthosis and maintain one of the only authorized Birkenstock repair centers in central Illinois. We’re experienced in modifications that include rocker soles and bars, heel wedges and lifts, build-ups, and lateral and medial stabilizers, flairs, and wedges. We excel at working with customers and helping them get on with daily life. Their comfort is our first priority.
